Nekropol' in Kremlin wall - memorial cemetery over Moscow Red Square, in the wall (and in the wall, which serves as columbarium for the urns with the dust) of the Moscow Kremlin. Place of the burial of the outstanding workers (in essence of political and servicemen) of the Soviet State; in 1920 - the 30's there buried also the foreign Communists (John Reed, Sena To katayamu, Klara tsetkin et al.).
The history of nekropolya
Nekropol' began to be added during November 1917, when over Red Square appeared two common graves of participants in the assault of the Kremlin (event 2 (15) November 1917 in Moscow), the fallen on the side Bolsheviks (according to some data, in these graves it rests 238 people). In 1919 over Red Square was buried 4. m. Sverdlov, and in autumn the same years - victim of explosion in The leont'evskom alley, including the 1st secretary MGK Of v. m. zagorskiy.
In 1924 was built Lenin's mausoleum, which became the center of nekropolya.
In 1920- e years near the Kremlin wall appeared the 15 additional common graves of the champions of revolution, either dead persons in the different time by its death and podkhoronennykh then into the general graves or be killeden together with the catastrophes (for example, with the wreck of aerovagona, in which perished Artem (F. a. Sergey) and number of other Bolsheviks). Then this practice ceased.
Subsequently of nekropol' it were supplemented by two forms of the burials:
* the separately outstanding party leaders and government (Sverdlov, and then Frunze, Dzerzhinskiy, Kalinin, Zhdanov, Voroshilov, Budenniy, Suslov, Brezhnev, Andropov and Chernenko) they are buried near the Kremlin wall to the right of mausoleum without the cremation, in to coffin and in the grave. In the same grave it is buried into 1961 also remote from the mausoleum body I. V. stalina. Above them are set the monuments - sculptural portraits (works M. V. tomskogo and other.)
* the majority of the persons, buried in Kremlin wall into 1930 - 1980- e years, is cremated, and urns with their dust are immured into the wall (on both sides of senate tower) under the memorial plates, on which are indicated the name and the dates of life (only 114 people).
Politics, find in the opal, were not buried in Kremlin wall (for example, N. S. Khrushchev, A. i. Mikoyan N. V. Podgorny they rest upon The novodevich'em cemetery).

Last buried the Kremlin wall had K. u. Chernenko (March 1985). By the latter, whose dust were placed into the Kremlin wall - dead person during December 1984 D. f. Ustinov.
The fate of nekropolya
In 1953 was accepted the decision CM by the CC CPSU about the liquidation of nekropolya and the transfer of the dust of the quiescent in wall, and also bodies of Lenin and Stalin into the projected pantheon; soon this project was forgotten.
From 1974 nekropol' it is guarded by state as monument. In 1990- e-2000- e years repeatedly was raised a question about the liquidation of nekropolya (from political, religious or other considerations); this contradicts the current legislation, which forbids to transfer dust without the will of the relatives (for the larger part of those buried in Kremlin wall to obtain this agreement difficultly, to say nothing of the fact that not all buried in the common graves are known on the names).
